Recycle Money

Recycle aluminum cans and make money.

We do a once a year camping trip in California with our family. We drive a full size pick-up and it is a nine hour drive, so gas costs can add up fast. The point is that we save our aluminum cans and get paid for them. Last year between our can money and our change jar we paid for the gas round trip.

Now we don't have a lot of storage space for cans but we do have room for two trash cans with lids and when we crush the cans we can get $30-40 per recycle trip. The scrap yard that we use is close by, in fact it is on the way to the grocery store so there is no added gas and very little time involved.

The point is; We are going to use the products in aluminum cans so why not get paid in the process. And while your making that spare change you are also cutting down on environmental waste.
